Asok Kumar has helped in setting up  many "Path- Breaking" fundamental Infrastructure like

the iconic 162 kms 8-lane Outer Ring Road around Hyderabad (the plans finalised, GO issued 2004 and LA started, Tendered and works started in 2005) during his tenure as Vice Chairman HUDA in addition to starting the work of the very important Kukatpally-Madhapur road and the rail over bridge there;

Inauguration of the 90 MGD Krishna Phase II and Issue of the GO 603 for the 180 MGD Godavari Drinking Water Project and starting of the works to augment Drinking water supply to Hyderabad, and Starting of the Daily Water Supply to core city of Hyderabad on 14 Nov 2008 after a gap of 24 years, setting up of SCADA and completion of works of many STPs with a total installed capacity of 700 MLD- all accomplished during his tenure as VC and MD, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Services and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB);

Restoration, Rejuvenation of many lakes, parks and waterbodies, widening and beautification of roads in Hyderabad, Kadapa and Nizamabad;

making new modern buildings for many offices he worked (ITDA, Bhadrachalam, HWMWSSB etc);

Starting of  computerization of Tehasil/Mandal offices in AP in 1999 as the first Project Director of Computerisation of MRO offices; 

Completion of many world class sports infrastructure for the conduct of the first Afro-Asian games and many international tournaments in Hyderabad as Vice Chairman of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh;

Initiating and completing successfully the drive to construct 1,40,000+ Individual Sanitary Toilets and 3500+ toilets in 1000 schools and 15 residences to MROs/MDOs in Nizamabad;   

driving Smart-Grids in power sector; 

helping out the aviation sector by facilitating  sector friendly policy decisions and pitching strongly for the  MRO operations in the country;

driving the campaign "Catch The Rain" to bring-up over 40 lakh Rain water harvesting structures with peoples' participation by converging many schemes of the GoI, states and with NGOs involvement;
