Sports teaches you many good things-- good habits are one of them. Love for Fitness, Discipline; Ability to paly the game fairly- win with humility, lose with dignity; learn from mistakes- correct and get ahead in life; and above all a positive attitude.
Luckily right from childhood, been associated with sports and adventure.
At my personal level,
From the gali cricket, with Ranji players in the bye-lanes of Trivandrum, to our "Wembely" stadium in the courtyard of our friends Nizar and Shaheer's house, to "Carrom world-cups" in Roy Cherian's and Velayudhan's house, to playing hours of quality Table Tennis at KTTA hall, to being the TT champion in many institutions , to daily joggings of 5-6 kms till switched over to 35-40 kms cycling-one day even touching 116 kms i(our ride from New Delhi to Kundli on 6 Oct 2019- ; to, as LO, leading a team of 60 pilgrims to Kailash Manasorovar in 2011, and many other tough treks etc; to obtaining SPL (Student Pilot's License) to fly Cessena 176R etc and
in my official capacity
to be the Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh and be in charge of the conduct of First "Afro-Asian games" and developing world class sports infrastructure; "1st Hyderabad Open" ITF Women Tennis Tournament, World Billiards championships; Asian TT, championship; to signing up for the3rd World Military Games- all in Hyderabad,
to being one of the official member of the Indian delegation for the successful bid in 2003 at Montego bay for the Commonwealth games in Delhi in 2010,
to supporting many stars like Sania Mirza (abour Rs 60 lakhs for training etc), Gangan Narang in shooting, Humpy etc in chess, Gopi Chand in setting-up his badminton academy etc
to be fortunate to witness the Opening ceremony and some events of the Athens Olympics in 2004 and some events in the Beijing Olympics in 2008 etc;
sports and adventure has been an integral part of my life.....
